# Assets · photos

10 files under `assets/photos/`, held in the artifact’s asset store: fetch one with the Artifact tool’s `read`, the id below as `path` (they are not files beside the page — a read by file path fails), then upload it to your own artifact as an asset (`publish`, `asset:true`; or `upload_asset`, where your tool lists that); an SVG may also be inlined. Copy assets, never approximate them.

## Usage notes

# Photos

Photography cleared for use in Nashville PBS materials. Fetch a file by its asset id (the Assets photos card lists them), then copy it into your own artifact; never approximate a photo. The store holds the originals; the previews inline downscaled copies only because the preview frame cannot fetch files.

Notes

- The `AdobeStock_*` originals came from the station's own folder; confirm each was licensed under the station's Adobe Stock account and record the license holder and date before external use. The Pexels photo is under the Pexels license. The two station-owned files were re-encoded from originals above the 15 MB store limit (a 19.9 MB JPEG and a 35 MB PNG); the originals stay with Shane. These notes are not a rights record.
- Crop, do not stretch. Keep faces centered when cropping the headshot to a circle; the mask components crop the landscape files themselves.
- White type over any of these needs the Navy overlay or a solid panel; the neon and skyline highlights fail contrast on their own. Keep imagery in full color, never black and white.
- Caption real people with their real name and title. Placeholder captions in the previews read "Name Surname, Title".
- The previews inline the headshot at 640 px and the neon and dusk skyline photos at 1000 px on the long side.

Held back, not in the store: `AdobeStock_439009955_Editorial_Use_Only.jpeg` (Lower Broadway signage). Its license is editorial only, so it cannot be used in promotion, fundraising or any commercial-style piece; it stays out unless a standard license is bought.
