# Divergence between the artifact and the standalone export **Merged on 2026-11-06.** The October 2026 work of the standalone Claude Design project (content last changed 2026-10-23, exported 2026-11-05) was taken into the live artifact file by file, in artifact versions 60 to 63 (ids 1794024086-e407, 1794024248-feed, 1794024374-9ebe, then the page's own save 1794024401-0aa9). The artifact is the single source of truth; the standalone export stays in this repo as a frozen record only. The comparison below replaces the file-by-file gap list of 2026-11-06 (morning), which is in the git history. ## What the merge took (now in the artifact) - `tokens.json`: `gradient-primary-tr` and `gradient-primary-overlay-tr` in the `other` family, with usage notes (top-right light source, 225 degrees). - `components/bundle.js`: the artifact's own 29 component blocks byte for byte, plus the standalone's `channelAssetData`, `brandAssetData`, `AppPromo` and `ChannelLogo` blocks appended (ChannelLogo, KidsArchitecture, AppPromo, and the data exports ChannelAssets and BrandAssets); the header lists 32 components. 252 KB. - `components/ChannelLogo/`, `KidsArchitecture/`, `AppPromo/`: README, preview and `.d.ts` each; sources under `components/src/components/brand/` (`ChannelLogo.jsx`, `AppPromo.jsx`, `brandAssetData.jsx`, `channelAssetData.jsx`). - `guidelines/`: the eight cards (`broadcast-overview`, `broadcast-safe-areas`, `broadcast-slates`, `broadcast-endpage`, `broadcast-lower-third`, `broadcast-title-card`, `brand-channels`, `brand-app-promo`) and the newer `brand-logo` card, markers in the type's syntax, references rewritten to the artifact's own files (`../tokens.css`, `../components/bundle.css`, `../components/lib/*.js`, `../components/bundle.js`, `/_blob/` for artwork). - `templates/deck`, `document`, `social`, `flier` as plain files plus a `README.txt` each; `templates/on-air` replaced by the October version (`OnAir.dc.html`, `ds-base.js`, `OnAir-Express-export.html`; `image-slot.js` and `support.js` were identical). - `README.md` (the brand book): Broadcast station rules (UHD masters, title-safe and action-safe with pixel reads, switchable backgrounds, no Curve on broadcast, lower third geometry, type and color); Sub-brands: channel lineup in copy, channel marks in code, Passport, the PBS app; Gradients: the top-right tokens; Component Library: the Brand group; Starters and Source Materials notes; a closing "Merged 2026-11-06" paragraph. - 18 uploads with index records: `channels/Passport_*` (4), `channels/Create_Cobrand_White.svg`, `channels/kids-paired/*` (10), `logos/PBS_Logo_Color_RGB.svg` and `_White_`, `guides/PBS-App_Document_Style-Guide_Apr20231.pdf`; the channels, logos and guides READMEs extended; the three guide digests (`_pbs_app_guide.txt`, `_passport_cobrand_guide.txt`, `_pbskids_architecture.txt`) as text files under `assets/guides/`. - Records: `assets/notes/SKILL.from-standalone-2026-10-23.md`, `CLAUDE.from-standalone-2026-10-23.md`, `README.legacy-2026-10-23.md`; `docs/standalone-2026-10-23/` with the October `_ds_bundle.js` and `_ds_manifest.json`, `_adherence.oxlintrc.json`, and the Design System Audit, Handoff Guide, Review Checklist and Samples Gallery pages. ## Still only in the standalone export (left out on purpose) - Revised sources for 24 of the 32 components (Logo, PatternPanel, Badge, Button, Tag, the editorial set, the forms set, CircleHighlight, LineHighlight, SymbolCrop, ShowCard). The artifact's bundle and `components/src/` stay the September build the previews were written against; the standalone's Logo and PatternPanel embed their artwork instead of taking `assetPath` and `src`, which the artifact's previews pass. Taking them means rebuilding the bundle and re-checking every preview. - `assets/channels/AllArts_Color_CMYK.svg`, `PBSKids_Color_CMYK.svg`, `Create_Cobrand_Color.svg` and the World, All Arts and PBS KIDS files under the standalone's names (re-exports of marks the artifact holds under its own names), `assets/patterns/*_Pattern.svg` (the vector rebuilds the bundle embeds; the artifact's patterns group has its own vector files), `ui_kits/website/` (the artifact has it as `components/Index`), the `.thumbnail` files and `thumbnail.html`, `styles.css` and `tokens/*.css` (the artifact generates `tokens.css`), and the remaining uploads (screenshots, the `PBS_rgb.svg` originals, `Safe_Areas.jpg`, which the artifact's Uploads group already holds as `Safe_Areas (1).jpg`). - The PBS App Marketing Guide (July 2024) exists in both copies only as the digest; the PDF in the export is the April 2023 Document Style Guide, which did come across. ## Only in the artifact Unchanged by the merge: the brand book, `tokens.json` in the type's list shape, previews for every component, the PBS KIDS Headline fonts, the asset store groups and the Office template renders. ## Decisions asked of Shane (both stated in the brand book with dates) 1. Station slates: decided 2026-11-06, the Community pattern stays (Shane Burkeen); the brand book's Broadcast bullet and `templates/on-air/README.txt` say so, and the October template's Insight default is to be switched to Community before use. 2. PBS KIDS on screen: decided 2026-11-06, the station-derived digital Reverse, White and Black files stay in use on screen (Shane Burkeen); the October components still draw only the color file on screen, so the brand book and the ChannelLogo and KidsArchitecture guides point to the derived files for the other colorways.
