# Nashville PBS Design System

> Brand design system for Nashville PBS (WNPT), the PBS member station for Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky. This repo mirrors the live system kept in Claude; the files below are the system itself, as plain text and assets.

- Brand patterns (Community, Insight) and Symbol Crop artwork: `artifact/assets-store/patterns/`, `artifact/assets-store/brand/`
- Fonts: `artifact/project/fonts/` (PBS Sans, PBS Sans Cond, PBS KIDS Headline). Licensed to Nashville PBS; use them to render, do not redistribute
- PBS guides and station documents: `artifact/assets-store/guides/`

## Facts

- Website: wnpt.org. Public name: Nashville PBS. "WNPT" only in channel lineups and for broadcast, technical or historical references.
- Palette: PBS Blue #2638C4 (signature), Navy #0A145A, Medium Blue #0F1E8C, Light Blue #486CD8. Accents Teal #48D3CD, Yellow #FFCF00, Coral #FE704E, one per layout. Text contrast 4.5:1 or better.
- Type: PBS Sans where it can be self-hosted; Arial stands in everywhere else. Title Case for titles and labels, sentence case for body, left-aligned.
- Shape: pill buttons, 8 to 12 px radius on cards and media, flat surfaces, one circular crop or highlight per layout, no shadows or text effects, no emoji.
