# Installing the Nashville PBS design skill

## What this is
A folder Claude reads so it designs on-brand even when the design system is not attached. SKILL.md holds the rules; tokens/, fonts/ and assets/ hold the real files; reference/ holds the long-form brand digest.

## Claude Team (org-wide, recommended) — an Owner does this once
1. Zip this folder so SKILL.md is at the root of the zip.
2. claude.ai → Organization settings → Plugins & skills → Policy tab: "Cloud code execution and file creation" and "Skills" on.
3. Same page → Add → Upload a skill → the zip. It is enabled by default for every member and also syncs into Claude Code for people signed in with their Claude account.
4. Members do nothing. The skill fires automatically on Nashville PBS / WNPT / on-air / pledge work because of the description in SKILL.md; anyone can also say "use the nashville-pbs-design skill".

## Individual (Claude.ai)
Customize → Skills → upload the zip.

## Claude Code / repositories
- Copy this folder to `.claude/skills/nashville-pbs-design/` in the repo and commit it; everyone who clones gets it and can run /nashville-pbs-design.
- Paste CLAUDE.md.snippet into the repo's CLAUDE.md.
- For mandatory org-wide coverage, IT can put the snippet text in Claude Code managed settings under `claudeMd`.

## Claude Design / artifacts
This skill is the backup layer. The primary layer is the Nashville PBS design system itself: after it moves to Claude, an Owner sets it as the organization default (Settings → Design systems → Set as default) and every new design or deck uses it automatically.

## Keeping it current
Generated from the design-system project on 2026-10-23. When tokens, logos or rules change there, regenerate this package and re-upload; the Owner can replace the provisioned skill in place.
